hi there!

I’m Courtney

Registered Dietitian (RD) Nutritionist giving mothers and birthing people a trusted place for support, education, and counselling regarding nutrition and food, offering a range of services to meet you where you are!

My Story

My most important and cherished role is being a mom. I have two young kids, Nora and James, who keep me busy and allow me to fulfill my life-long dream of being a mom. You can often find me dancing around the kitchen with my partner and kids, sharing a family meal, hiking on the Bruce Trail, or running around town with my dog Jake. My partner and I own a family business in the agricultural sector and work on food access projects in our community. As you can see, I am passionate about food and nutrition on all ends of the spectrum.

A long history with an eating disorder and disordered eating, the birth of my first child, and nine years working as a Registered Dietitian inspired me to build Stonehouse Nutrition. Having experienced the toll pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum takes on our bodies, I saw an opportunity to centre nutrition education to optimize the motherhood journey. Evidenced-based nutrition is just the beginning as I integrate compassion, behaviour change, body image work, and food relationship work into everything.

My ongoing personal journey and commitment to counselling and self-compassion shape my work with all clients and how I show up as a person, a mother, a partner, a sister, a daughter, a friend, and a Registered Dietitian (RD) nutritionist.

Stonehouse Nutrition

Stonehouse Nutrition is not just a name but a testament to what drives my work. Inspired by the old stone houses in and around agricultural communities in Ontario, these timeless, resilient, and beautiful structures share similar traits to the mothers I’ve worked with and those I am lucky to call friends and family.

Stepping inside these homes is welcoming and cozy, a sentiment I try to create for each of you, who I am honoured to work with on your journey. It reminds us of our connection to the food system, the farmers that produce our food, and the many factors that may make it difficult to access the food we want.

Stonehouse Nutrition is a nutrition counselling practice that is evidence-based, trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and social-justice informed.

As a Registered Dietitian specializing in prenatal and postpartum nutrition, I aim to nurture women and mothers to build self-trust, knowledge, and resilience through compassionate nutrition counselling and support.

Nourished Mothers. Thriving Families. Strengthened Communities.
